How much has changed in accessible tourism

Today´s blog takes a look at how much things have changed for accessible tourism in Ecuador. It contains a series of 3 articles written by Lance Brashear about a general overview of accessible tourism in Ecuador back in 2011. It is a very interesting series of articles spread out in 3.

First one “Gathering Force” talks about general statistics about tourims in Ecuador, the limitations for space, physical barriers and opportunities that accessible tourism bring to travel agencies and tour operators.

Second article “Built it, they will come” talks about different Organizations working towards accessible tourism, different prospectives and approach from public and private side in how to make accessible tourism inclusive.

Finally the third article “Ahead of the rest” talks about how operating accessible tours represents an advantage over regular tour operators.

It is not rocket science, it is just the will to provide fair solutions to an increasting niche market. I hope you take the time reading all 3 articles. In 8 years many things have changes within Ecuador and around our region. So it is a good way to compare reality back in 2011 and where we are in 2019. Enjoy it 😊
